A BJP leader was shot dead in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi on Wednesday evening. According to the information, BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha District President Jitram Munda was having tea in a hotel with one of his companions, Rajkishore. During this, the bike-borne assailants opened fire on him. Rajkishore was also shot in the attack. At the same time, after carrying out this audacious incident, the attackers fled from there while firing in the air.
After this incident, there has been panic in the police-administration. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras of the area and a blockade has also been put in place. It is being said that there is a case of mutual enmity behind the incident. The attack took place at Aryan Line hotel located in Ormanjhi area of the city where Munda was having tea with his associates. Munda was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The police is investigating the matter.
Both were taken to Medanta Hospital. The injured Rajkishore is being treated. After getting information about this incident, many BJP leaders including former Chief Minister and MP Arjun Munda, BJP Organization Minister Dharampal Singh, former MP Ramtahal Chaudhary reached the hospital and expressed their condolences. On the other hand, there is a lot of resentment among BJP workers regarding this incident. At the same time, according to the police, prima facie the matter seems to be of mutual enmity.
It is being said that Jeetram Munda is having a dispute with a man named Manoj Munda for a long time. It is feared that Manoj has got the BJP leader killed. However, the police is investigating the matter and it says that soon the matter will be revealed and the culprits will be arrested.
