Jaipur: Amidst the apprehensions of third covid waveOn Monday, 22 health institutions were inaugurated and the foundation stone of 21 health institutions was laid. The 22 health institutions that were inaugurated were constructed at a cost of Rs 17.2 crore, while Rs 20 crore will be spent on the other 21 works.
The health institutions that were inaugurated included a primary health centre, sub centre, trauma centre, urban primary health centre, TB hospital and a regional vaccine store.

Health Minister Raghu Sharma inaugurated and laid foundation stone of various medical institutions in seven districts Ajmer, Bhilwara, Dausa, Jaipur, Churu, Bikaner and Sriganganagar.
Sharma said the 21 medical institutions for which the foundation stone was laid include five primary health centres, 10 sub-health centres, one trauma centre, two urban primary health centers and two tuberculosis hospitals and one regional vaccine store.
The 22 facilities that were inaugurated included five PHCs, one UPHC, 13 sub health centres, two sewerage treatment plants and construction of sewer lines, a 50-bed MCH unit. He said that with the completion of these works, a population of about 14.20 lakh would get the benefit of better medical facilities.

Better medical facilities are being provided by selecting 332 community health centers in the state. The number of beds in NICU, PICU and SNCU in children’s hospitals in the state is being increased continuously.
He said that oxygen plants are being set up in the state to overcome the shortage of medical oxygen, from which 1,000 metric tonnes of oxygen would be supplied daily in the coming days.
