In Significant Move Before 2024 Lok Sabha Polls, BJP to Hold Sanyukt Morcha Baithak in Bihar

In a politically significant move, the Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to host a ‘United Front meeting’ in Bihar later this month.

Before the Morcha meeting, the party plans to send its Morcha members to every constituency in the state to hold organizational meetings of their respective Morcha units. For this, two members from each front have been appointed.

The meeting will be presided over by BJP National President JP Nadda and National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh.

Many in the party believe that this outreach will strengthen the organization ahead of the Lok Sabha elections and send a message to the party cadre.

As its ties with ally Janata Dal (United) are at an all-time low, the BJP hopes to strengthen itself in the state, if it needs to contest alone.

Highly placed sources in the party said all the 7 morchas – Kisan Morcha, Minority Morcha, Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, OBC Morcha, SC Morcha and ST Morcha – would be present in Patna till the end of the month where a review would also be conducted. Regarding the work done during the year.

According to sources, 44 executive members and 22 office-bearers of all morchas will participate in the meeting.

On the lines of what the party did in Telangana before the national executive meeting in Hyderabad, it would send two office-bearers to each assembly constituency and hold an organizational meeting at the mandal level on the status of the morcha and the work done by them.

This organizational review per assembly will be done two days before the meeting.

“Two days will be fixed, July 28 and July 29, when two members of each Morcha will go to each assembly seat in Bihar and hold these meetings. The report will be prepared on the basis of two-day stay of Morcha members on July 30 and July 31. These are tentative dates,” said a party source.
