The incident happened earlier on June 21 at the Kovid-19 vaccination center set up in a school in Baharampur Imambara area of Chapra town.

The victim, Azhar Hussain, who was unaware of the lapse committed by the nurse, came to know about it when a friend of his accompanying him at the vaccination center uploaded the vaccination clip on social media.

The allegedly wrong nurse has been issued a show cause notice by the district administration for her draconian act and has been removed from duty.

The authorities concerned have put pressure into damage control mode and asked the man to take a dose of the vaccine on any given day.

The nurse has been heavily criticized on social media amid concerns across the country regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the incident and said “no work can be done in Bihar” without a scam.

The former deputy chief minister, who also hit out at the state health department, alleged that there was corruption in all departments including health, education and road construction.

Earlier on Thursday, Bihar reported 212 new Covid-19 cases, taking the toll in the state to over seven lakh.
