Former Federal Minister of Pakistan Fawad Hussain Chaudhry on the current political situation in the country.

Former Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister of Pakistan Fawad Hussain Chaudhry in an exclusive conversation with India TV spoke about the current political crisis in the country and said that in any case the country is heading towards elections.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan is hearing a case regarding the current political situation in the country, including the dissolution of the National Assembly by the President and the dismissal of a no-confidence motion against Imran Khan.

Responding to how long it would take for the Supreme Court of Pakistan to deliver a verdict on the current crisis, Fawad Chaudhry said the judges were today adamant that the verdict would be delivered by tomorrow or by the latest Friday.

In the midst of the current political situation, Fawad Chaudhry said that the process of forming an interim government to hold elections is also going on. However, the country is moving towards general elections.

Choudhary said that the Supreme Court does not interfere in parliamentary proceedings in view of what has happened in history.

Responding to whether the ‘threat letter’ exposed by now caretaker Prime Minister Imran Khan in his address to the nation was fake, Chowdhury said the race to spread fake news is on. The meeting of the National Security, Cabinet and Parliament Security Committee has already been held regarding this… It is part of the state’s record. Fawad said that we have also said that there should be a judicial inquiry also.

Speaking on Pakistan-US relations, Imran Khan in his address to the nation blamed the United States for the current crisis in the country, with Fawad Chaudhry saying that Imran Khan never said that he wanted to increase ties with the US. In fact, not only America, we want good relations with India as well.

But this is an internal political crisis that will be resolved internally and not by any external force, Chowdhury said.

Choudhary also informed that he has filed cases with the Speaker against MPs who won on their party’s ticket but tried to vote against it.
