The DGCA on Thursday sent notices to the crew of the New York-Delhi flight and Air India officials asking why no action should be taken against them for “dereliction” of duty in managing the “pee” event on November 26.

On November 26 last year, an allegedly drunk man urinated on his female co-passenger, a senior woman in her seventies, in business class on a New York-Delhi Air India flight. The agency claims that initially it appears that the rules for dealing with unruly passengers were not followed.
