IGNOU Provides Free Coaching for UPSC Civil Services Exam, Here’s How to Apply

Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DACE) of Indira Gandhi National Open University is giving opportunity to all scheduled caste students to get coaching for Union Service Public Commission (UPSC) exam. IGNOU is inviting applications from interested candidates belonging to SC category for Civil Services preparation. Candidates willing to take coaching for UPSC exam can apply till June 30.

Issuing the notification, IGNOU said that the coaching will be available for both preliminary and main examination. Candidates can check the official website of IGNOU at dace.ignouonline.ac.in for more details and application form link.

A total of 100 seats are offered by the university for the 2023 session. Of the 100 seats, 33% are reserved for women. The selection will be done on the basis of Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted by IGNOU. The entrance test will be based on General Knowledge, Language Skill, Reasoning Ability and General Aptitude. There will be 100 objective based questions in the exam.

Who can apply?

Those wishing to apply must have completed their graduation or should be in the final year of graduate programs from a recognized university. Those who are appearing for their final year examination must submit their passing certificate during the commencement of coaching classes. Candidates must note that this scheme is only for SC students and no other person can apply for it.

IGNOU is not the only university that provides coaching for UPSC Civil Services Exam. Every year Jamia Millia Islamia University invites applications from interested candidates belonging to any category to take coaching at the university to prepare for one of the toughest competitive exams in the country. The university selects the candidates through a common entrance test.
