Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has once again extended the last date for fresh and re-registration applications for its online and online distance learning (ODL) programmes. As per the latest updates, candidates can fill the IGNOU January 2023 session application till March 27 at the official website, ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Earlier, IGNOU had announced March 10 as the registration deadline which was later extended to March 20. But now the last date has been postponed for seven days. The official handle of IGNOU tweeted, “Last date for fresh admission and re-registration for January 2023 cycle for all programs (except certificate and semester based programs) for both online and ODL mode till March 27, 23 Date Extension.”
Candidates will have to pay a late registration fee of Rs 200 if they do not register before the deadline. So, students must follow the time limit set by the authorities. IGNOU has also allowed the facility of fee waiver for SC or ST students in a programme. Therefore, the candidates who submit more than one application form claiming fee exemption should keep in mind that their application form will be rejected by the university.
IGNOU January 2023 session: How to apply
Step 1: Visit the official portal of IGNOU at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
Step 2: Find and click on the ‘New Registration’ link on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill the required registration details.
Step 4: Make the required payment and submit the asked form.
Step 5: Save and download the confirmation page
Step 6: Keep a hard copy of IGNOU 2023 application form with you for future reference.
Candidates must keep ready a set of scanned copies of mandatory documents while applying for IGNOU January 2023 session. The list of documents required includes a photograph and signature of the candidate, class 10 mark sheet or date of birth certificate, educational qualification certificate, experience certificate, category certificate (if required), and BPL certificate (if required).
