If India belongs to anyone, it is Dravidian and Adivasi, not Modi or Thackeray: AIMIM chief Owaisi

all India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi Saturday took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for going “after the Mughals”.

Addressing a rally in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi, Owaisi said, ‘India is neither mine nor Thackeray’s nor Modi-Shah’. If India belongs to anyone, it is Dravidian and Adivasi but only after Mughals is BJP-RSS. India was formed after the migration of people from Africa, Iran, Central Asia, East Asia.

Earlier this week, Owaisi took a dig at the BJP, blaming the Mughals for inflation, fuel prices and unemployment. Talking to reporters, Owaisi took a sarcasm and said that Aurangzeb, Akbar and Shah Jahan are not responsible for the issues plaguing the country.

Owaisi on Saturday also hit out at Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar and questioned him as to why he did not meet the prime minister. Narendra Modi On the arrest of Nawab Malik as he did for Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut.

“BJP, NCP, Congress, SP (Samajwadi Party) are secular parties. They feel that they should not go to jail but if a member of a Muslim party goes, it is fine. NCP chief Sharad Pawar reached PM Modi and urged him not to take any action against Sanjay Raut. I want to ask NCP workers why did Pawar not do this for Nawab Malik.

Is Nawab Malik less than Sanjay Raut? I want to ask Sharad Pawar why didn’t you speak for Nawab Malik? Is it because he is a Muslim? Aren’t Sanjay and Nawab equal?”, Owaisi said.

Demanding the release of AIMIM’s Bhiwandi leader Khalid Guddu, Owaisi said, “They arrested Khalid Guddu because he was against power and corruption. So, the state government arrested him with the help of Mumbai Police.”
