A rocket siren sounded in the Haifa bay area on Tuesday morning.
The military later said that alerts had sounded following a false identification. The sirens had been activated after an interceptor had been launched for fear of shrapnel from the interceptor falling. The IDF added that the incident was being investigated.
Additionally, numerous rocket alerts sounded in various localities in northern Israel on Tuesday.
No injuries or damage were reported.
