Ugandan opener Isaac Ateka went to hospital with a retired heart, due to which India won the match by a huge margin of 326 runs.

Talking about the match, after losing the toss, opting to bat first, the Indian team scored a huge score of 405 runs for the loss of five wickets in 50 overs. For India, Raj Bawa played an unbeaten innings of 162 runs, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 144 runs. Chasing India’s target, Uganda’s team went on losing wickets from the very first over and soon the entire team was reduced to 79 runs in 19.4 overs.

For India, captain Nishant Sindhu took the maximum four wickets while Rajvardhan got two wickets. Raj Bawa, who scored the most runs for India in the Under-19 World Cup, was adjudged the Player of the Match.
