The ICAI CA Intermediate May Exam 2023 was scheduled to be conducted on May 10, but the institute has postponed the date due to the Vidhan Sabha elections to be held on the same day.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) recently announced the postponement of the Intermediate May examination of Chartered Accountants (CA) in Karnataka. As per the latest updates, ICAI CA Intermediate May 2023 exam will now be conducted on 20th May. It was earlier scheduled to be held on May 10, but due to the Vidhan Sabha elections to be held on the same day, the institute has postponed the date. Candidates can check the official notification on the main website of ICAI icai.org.
The exam which was earlier scheduled to be held in centers including Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bellary, Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Gadag, Kolar, Koppal, Mandya, Mangalore, Mysore, Chikkaballapur, Hassan, Haveri, Hubli, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Shimoga, etc. The notice states that Sirsi, Tumakuru, Udupi and Vijayapura have now been postponed.

“Due to the General Election to the Legislative Assembly in the State of Karnataka, the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Course Examination, (Group I), Paper – 4 (Taxation) is scheduled to be held in the State on May 10, 2023 (Wednesday). Karnataka Will now be held on May 20, 2023 (Saturday) at the same time,” reads the official notice.

ICAI CA May 2023 exam will be conducted from 2 PM to 5 PM. It is to be noted that the admit cards already issued by the Institute will be valid for the examination. Also, the exam date will remain unchanged for all other centers except Karnataka, which means there will be no change in the date sheet of exams for other respective cities.
As per the schedule, the intermediate exam will be held from May 3 to 18 and will be held in computer-based mode. Intermediate exams (Group – I) will be conducted on May 3, 6, 8 and 20, while Group – II exams are scheduled to be held on May 12, 14, 16 and 18. ICAI organizes the national level. Chartered Accountants Intermediate exam is held twice a year. First in the month of May or June and second in offline mode in the month of November or December.
