IB detains 6 Bangladeshi nationals for entering the country illegally. Coimbatore News – Times of India

Cuddalore: intelligence bureau (IB) Authorities detained six Bangladeshi nationals, including two women and a child, for illegally entering the country and residing in a village in Cuddalore district. Tamil Nadu without valid documents.
The three detained men had fake Aadhaar cards and claimed that they were issued by competent authorities in India. None of them had any valid documents including passport.
Intelligence sources revealed that some people living in the village have made long-term international calls to foreign countries including Bangladesh, following which the IB team along with the district police team visited Periyakangankuppam village near Cuddalore city.
Both the teams that reached the basti raided a house after learning from the residents that some strangers, including two women and a child, had taken the house on rent and were living there for the last one and a half years. The team members also learned that the ‘strangers’, who can only speak Bengali and Hindi, never interacted with the neighbours.
They raided the house and found that three men, two women and a three-year-old child were living there. In initial interrogation, he gave contradictory answers but it was later revealed that he is from Bangladesh and admitted to infiltrating into India and reaching the village in Tamil Nadu.
He was booked, arrested and brought to a police station in Cuddalore city limits for detailed questioning. They have been identified as S Najmur, 35, his wife Farita Biwi, 25, their sons N Takbir, 3, A Sikander Mulla, 50, N Babu Sheikh, 22 and S. Fatima Biwick, 25.
Preliminary interrogation revealed that two more Bangladeshi nationals were living with them and IB officials have started searching for both. Residents have told the investigating agency that they rarely come out of the house during the day but come out at night. He used to get guests on most of the weekends.
The agency has also started questioning the owner of the house who had offered his premises on rent to him.
