The power department has blamed heavy flooding and breakdown of power lines and feeder issues across the city for the power outage. “The main complaints were feeder trips, breakage of electric wires, burning of transformers and poles, and jumpers. In many areas, there were power cuts due to breaking of power lines due to falling trees and tripping of feeders. Our teams are working relentlessly to resolve these issues,” said TSSPDCL Director (Operations), G Srinivas Reddy, said.
