Hyderabad Police issues legal notice to Sai Dharam Tej in bike accident case

Telugu actor Sai Dharam Tej received a legal notice in connection with his bike accident in Hyderabad’s inaccessible Cheruvu in early September. Disclosing Cyberabad’s crime report on Monday, according to Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Ravindra, a case has been registered under section 912 of CrPC.

The police commissioner said the actor was asked to submit his documents – driving licence, RC, insurance and pollution papers. The actors failed to submit their documents, which landed them in trouble.

Ravindra said, “As of now, we have not received any response from the actor and if there is no response from the actor then charge sheet will be filed.”

Sai Dharam Tej, who has featured in films like ‘Supreme’, ‘Subramaniam For Sale’, ‘Vijeta’ and others, met with an accident in September. The actor managed to avoid an almost fatal accident.

The actor was taken to a private hospital, and it took him more than a month to recover from the injuries caused by the accident.

The commissioner also informed that around 759 people lost their lives in road accidents in 2021. However, the number of deaths has come down as compared to last year. Drunk driving resulted in 212 accidents and a fine of Rs 4.5 crore was collected during the inspection of drunken driving.

In addition, 9,981 licenses were suspended for driving under the influence of alcohol,” the commissioner said.

Meanwhile, in November, after his accident, Sai Tej shared the first personal audio note thanking all the fans and media for their love, support and prayers.

The note was shared on Twitter. “Thank you so much for all the love and prayers you have showered on me,” the actor said in the note. He further urged his fans to watch his upcoming film and share his review.
