Watching movies in theatres, with every passing day, is becoming costly. Many audiences are afraid to step into theatres because of the high ticket prices in recent times. Many people think they can afford all the OTT platforms and watch their favourite films whenever they want. But recently, a Hyderabad multiplex made headlines as it offered movie tickets for just Rs. 50.

The upcoming drama film Pekamedalu is all set to hit theatres on July 19. The film, written by Hamza Ali, Srinivas Ittam and Bhargava Karthik will be directed by Neelagiri Mamilla. The film stars Anusha Nuthula, Anoosha Krishna and Vinoth Kishan as the main leads, Along with Rethika Srinivas, Ganesh Thipparaju, Prradep Rapartii and J. Jagan Yogiraj in other supporting roles.

The film’s already-released teaser and trailers have connected well with the family audience. According to the latest report, the team has announced that it provides an opportunity for the viewers to watch the movie in multiplex for just Rs 50. Apart from Hyderabad, special shows are being organised in Vizag and Vijayawada. In today’s time, a ticket for just Rs 50 means that people come to have a theatre experience as the price is very pocket-friendly.

Pekamedalu revolves around Laxman (Vinoth Kishan), a jobless daydreamer who wants to be a successful businessman; his wife Varalaxmi (Anoosha Krishna) wants him to have a stable income. They both go through an emotional rollercoaster ride while trying to combat financial constraints.

The music for the film is composed by Smaran, while the project is produced by Rakesh Varre under the banner of Crazy Ants Productions. The cinematography of the film is done by Haricharan K.

Vinoth Kishan has appeared in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam language films. He made his debut as a child artist in Bala’s Nandha (2001), before playing the villain in Naan Mahaan Alla (2010) and Vidiyum Munn (2013).

He was last seen in the Telugu-language action crime drama film Gangs of Godavari. The film is written and directed by Krishna Chaitanya. It is being produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, co-produced by Venkat Upputuri and Gopichand Innamuri, under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film features Vishwak Sen, Anjali, and Neha Shetty in lead roles.
