HYDERABAD: More cases were registered against Raja Singh at multiple police stations including Nampally, Malakpet, Mangalhat, Jeedimetla, Vanasthalipuram and Dabeerpura. He was booked on charge of promoting enmity between groups.
Police officials alleged a conspiracy behind the attempt to disturb peace in the city. The allegation was made by in-charge deputy commissioner of police (south zone) P Sai Chaitanya regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding BJP MLA Raja Singh.
“Hyderabad’s youth is know to be peace loving. We suspect some attempts are being made with a conspiracy to disturb the peace. We request (people) not to fall into the trap,” the DCP said, adding that there was no permission for any of the rallies being taken out currently.
The DCP said action is being taken against the MLA and criminal cases have been registered against him. Competent advocates have been engaged to deal with the cases against Raja Singh, the cop said.
Meanwhile, after multiple police stations received complaints, cases were registered against Raja Singh at multiple police stations including Nampally, Malakpet, Mangalhat, Jeedimetla, Vanasthalipuram, Dabeerpura and three other police stations. He has been booked on the charge of promoting enmity between groups.
On Wednesday afternoon, tight security was deployed around Mecca Masjid during the afternoon prayers. Top brass of Hyderabad police, which includes five IPS officers, Task Force sleuths were deployed in Old city.
