Hyderabad gang rape case: All six accused, including five minors, have been arrested in connection with the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl in a car in Hyderabad. The police gave this information on Tuesday.

While five accused, including a Major, were involved in penetrative sex, the sixth, said to be a juvenile and the son of an MLA, has been booked for molestation.

Offense committed in a vehicle hired for official duty

The son of a leader of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which heads a government body, is among the four teenagers involved in the gang rape. The offense was also committed in an Innova vehicle hired for government duty.

Police had earlier said that three of the five accused are minors. However, police commissioner CV Anand told a press conference on Tuesday night that one of the accused, who was earlier reported to be of age, was actually less than 18 months old.

Strong evidence against all the accused

Stating that he had strong evidence against the gang-rapists, the police chief said that they would be tried in a special court and would be sentenced to at least 20 years or life imprisonment till death or even May face the death penalty.

The five accused have been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376D (gang rape), 323 (causing hurt), 5G along with 6 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, 366 and 366A (kidnapping). Case has been registered. ) and section 67 of the Information Technology Act.

The sixth Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) was not involved in the rape but kissed the victim in the car. He has been booked under sections 354, 323 of IPC and 10 with 9G of POCSO Act. He could be imprisoned for 5-7 years.

On the video circulated on social media, the police commissioner said that the CCL took the video of him kissing the girl inside the car and circulated it on social media.

Giving a detailed sequence of events, he said that the main accused Saduddin Malik and a CCL misbehaved with the victim at the pub where they were attending a party on May 28.

The CCTV footage showed that they were chasing the girl outside the pub. Four CCL and the girl boarded a Mercedes to go to a bakery. Malik and four others boarded the CCL Innova. On his way to the bakery, CCL in Mercedes forcibly kissed him, took the video and then broadcast.

Both the cars reached the bakery at 5.51 pm, the victim got down from the Mercedes and boarded the Innova. At 6.15 pm, Innova Malik left with five others and the victim. However, a few minutes later, a CCL returned to the bakery as he had some urgent work. Malik and four others took CCL Innova to road number 44 behind Pedamma temple, parked there and then took turns raping the girl.

Innova later came to the pub and dropped the victim. The victim’s father reached there at 7.53 pm to pick her up.

The matter came to light on May 31 when the victim’s father lodged a police complaint and the police recorded her statement the next day.
