Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty made a comeback on screen with her comeback film Hungama 2. The romantic comedy film, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash, premiered on July 23 on Disney Plus Hotstar. The film follows director Priyadarshan’s 2003 hit Hungama and is a remake of his 1994 Malayalam film Minnaram. While Shilpa Shetty was preparing for her comeback after 13 years, her husband Raj Kundra’s controversy and his arrest in a porn case dampened her enthusiasm. Many viewers even asked to boycott Hungama 2 immediately after Kundra’s arrest.

Hungama 2 is a funny comedy involving two families. While fans expected it to be a laugh riot, seeing the hilarious punches in the first Hungama, the film failed to deliver. Netizens were not impressed with the story and comic scenes in the film and complained about laughing. A Twitter user said, “The movie is half over and still haven’t laughed even once.”
