New Delhi: Huawei’s new foldable smartphone – P50 Pocket is now official. Huawei P50 Pocket This is the company’s first flip phone, which the smartphone maker has launched in China. The foldable smartphone sports a clamshell design and comes with a flexible display. The company claims that it has used innovative nano-optical film on the screen.
The smartphone’s external display allows users to check text messages, schedules, and other information. Users can also answer calls and take quick selfies using the external display. Huawei The P50 Pocket comes in Obsidian Black with glossy mirror texture, White with premium shimmer on micro-glass and features a 3D micro-sculpture design. The company has also launched a premium version of the smartphone in association with haute couture designer Iris van Herpen.
Huawei also claims that the multifunctional hinge of the foldable smartphone allows the device to be folded easily and without any creasing.
Huawei P50 Pocket Specifications
Huawei P50 Pocket comes with 6.9-inch FHD+ display with 1188×2790 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone also features a 1.04-inch external display. The flip phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 8GB/12GB RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options – 256GB and 512GB.
The Huawei P50 Pocket comes with dual SIM support and runs on Android-based EMUI 12 globally and HarmonyOS 2 in China. The Flip smartphone is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and sports triple rear cameras.
The Huawei P50 Pocket packs a 40MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 32MP ultra-spectrum camera with f/1.8 aperture. The smartphone also packs a 10.7MP front camera for selfies.
The Flip smartphone packs a 4000mAh battery with 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge wired fast charging support. The price of the smartphone starts at 8,988 Yuan (Rs 1,06,200) and will go on sale in China from today (December 23).
