Pashmina Roshan will be essaying the lead role alongside Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal in Ishq Vishk Rebound.
Music director Rajesh Roshan’s daughter and Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, Pashmina Roshan, is set to make her big screen debut with the much-anticipated film Ishq Vishk Rebound. In the film, she will be seen essaying the lead role alongside Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Pashmina Roshan and Naila Grrewal. The rom-com drama is scheduled to hit the theatres on June 21, 2024. Ahead of its release, Pashmina sat down for an interview with The Free Press Journal where she revealed the advice received from Hrithik for her debut project.
When asked about the guidance by brother Hrithik Roshan and uncle Rakesh Roshan, Pashmina shared, “Of course, I had their advice on how to improve as a performer and how to be better in life overall, but like I said, a film or a filmmaker require a certain character and not settle for anything less. The real game starts now as I am debuting this Friday. After this film, I have to find more work like a freelancer.”
In the same interview, the debutant actress also opened up about the reason for her late arrival in the film business. She continued, “It is not easy to be here in the industry. One has to work very hard. I had to be prepared in front of the camera. I had to mould myself a lot. I worked on my acting and dancing skills,” adding “It’s not a month’s journey, it takes time. It will keep taking to become better.”
Ishq Vishk Rebound has been creating a lot of buzz among cinephiles ever since its announcement. While the original Ishq Vishk starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao was released in April 2003, the new version is set to hit the theatres nearly after two decades. Just a few days back, the makers also treated the audience to a captivating trailer of the upcoming flick. It offered a glimpse into the lives of four friends navigating through the complexities of love and friendship.
It starts with Pashmina’s character dating Jibraan while Rohit’s character is romantically involved with Naila Grrewal. Later, both couples break up, and eventually, Rohit and Pashmina fall in love with each other.
