Himachal Pradesh school reopens: The Himachal Pradesh government has allowed the reopening of schools for class 10, 11 and 12 students from August 2, 2021, following the coronavirus protocol. The decision has been taken in view of the decline in COVID-19 cases across the state.

According to news agency ANI, students of classes 5 and 8 will be allowed to come to the schools to clear their doubts. “The Government of Himachal Pradesh has allowed reopening of schools including residential/partially residential schools for classes 10, 11 and 12 from August 2, with students of class 5 and class 8 visiting schools for doubt clearing. Permission has been given to do so,” tweeted. ANI.

The state government has also decided to allow the reopening of coaching, tutoring and other educational training institutions from Monday, July 26, 2021. Institutions have been directed to strictly follow the Standards of Procedure (SOP) in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this year, several schools and colleges were re-opened for in-person classes, however, later after the outbreak of the second Covid-19 wave, all educational institutions across the state were closed in view of health and well being. It was decided to do Safety of students and teachers.

Students and teachers are advised to get vaccinated, as it is expected to become a mandatory protocol for attending individual classes.

Meanwhile, several states including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar and several other states have also decided to reopen schools for class 11 and 12 students.

Schools across the country were closed following the nationwide lockdown on March 24 last year in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although offline classes resumed from October last year, schools were once again forced to close after the deadly second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in India killed students.
