NOIDA: In a bid to cover the gray areas leading up to the city’s ranking in the Swachh Survekshan 2021, the Noida authority has decided to appoint ‘grahiis’ or local representatives of villages who will help the civic body in the waste collection and segregation procedures by spreading awareness. will help promote among local residents.
Noida ranked fourth in the list of cleanest cities with a population between 1 lakh and 10 lakh in the annual cleanliness survey – Swachh Survekshan 2021, conducted by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs – the results of which were announced on November 20.
According to public health department officials, an analysis of the results indicated that the authority’s waste collection and segregation processes were not up to the benchmark within the notified old settlements under its jurisdiction.
