How to Install Android 12-Based OxygenOS 12 on OnePlus Smartphone

2. Scroll down until you find the title — “Ready to get started on Open Beta 1?”

3. Just below the title, you will see the download link for the Open Beta package.

4. Click on the link on your phone by region and the download will start.

5. The download will take some time as the file is around 4GB.

6. Once you have downloaded the file, go to your file manager and locate the file. Now, rename it and remove the .jar extension from the file name. The file should now be a .zip file.

7. Now, move the file to your internal storage.

8. Go to Settings > System > System Update

9. Touch on the gear icon at the top right and select ‘Local Upgrade’ option.

10. Now, you should see the downloaded file. Tap once on the file.

11. Now, you will see a reminder to back up your data. If you wish to proceed, touch the ‘Install Now’ option.

12. After some 10-15 minutes, your phone will reboot with the new OxygenOS 12 interface.

Congratulations! Your OnePlus phone is now updated. Go ahead and try your hand at the new upcoming features.
