Pawan also said that though he wants to make money from films, the money will never deter him from his principles of public service.
He said that he was able to charge such a hefty amount only because of the love of his fans.
South star Pawan Kalyan has not only made his mark in Tollywood but has also made his place in politics. He held a political meeting in Andhra Pradesh last night on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his party Jana Sena. He addressed a huge public meeting. Pawan talked about many things including his compensation for the films, which grabbed a lot of attention. He said that he charges Rs 2 crore per day for his films, but added that this happened only because of the love of his fans. He further said that he cannot guarantee that every film will fetch him such a huge fee. He also revealed that the shooting of his current film will continue for 22 days and he will earn around Rs 45 crore from it.
This meeting took place in Machilipatnam. Pawan also said that though he wants to make money from films, the money will never deter him from his principles of public service.
Pawan is currently working on Hari Har Veera Mallu. Another film is in the works with director Sujeeth. The shooting of the untitled film began on 30 January and began with a customary puja in which the producers and presenters were present.
The music for the film will be composed by S Thaman and the makers will soon cast actresses to play the lead opposite Pawan. The project is being funded by DVV Danayya’s DVV Entertainment And it is being called a “bigger and better project” than Saaho. Ravi K Chandran is the cinematographer of the film; More details are yet to be announced.
Pawan was last seen in Bhimla Nayak. The film did decent business but did not perform as per the expectations of the team. The film also starred Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen and Samyukta Menon in lead roles. Bhimla Nayak is directed by Sagar K Chandra and the screenplay is written by Trivikram Srinivas.
