How can India still qualify for the semi-finals?

Hyderabad: Team India’s chances of making it to the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup suffered consecutive defeats to Pakistan and New Zealand.

A 10-wicket loss to arch-rivals Pakistan in the first round and an eight-wicket loss at the hands of New Zealand pushed Virat Kohli’s men to the brink of entering the tournament as favorites and are now knocked out of the first round.

However, India still have a chance provided they get some results in their favour. With three wins already in their pocket, Pakistan are at the top of the table and will face Scotland and Namibia. A win will propel them into the semi-finals and the in-form Babar Azam-led side will hope to overcome these minor hurdles with ease, being assured of a top spot in the table and a place in the semi-finals.

New Zealand, Afghanistan and India are in all three matches for second place from Group 2. With yet another interesting encounter between India and Afghanistan on Wednesday, here’s how India can qualify for the knockouts.
