The much-awaited Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

PM Modi said that the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway connectivity project will help contribute to the development path of Karnataka.

PM Modi took to Twitter to express the importance of the project. PM Modi tweeted, “An important connectivity project that will contribute to the development of Karnataka.”

PM Modi was responding to a tweet thread by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, in which the minister informed that the construction of the Bengaluru Mysore Expressway project aims to improve access to areas like Srirangapatna, Coorg, Ooty and Kerala, Due to which it is getting strength. their tourism potential.

The Union Minister also informed that the above project covers a part of NH-275, which also includes development of four rail overbridges, nine important bridges, 40 minor bridges and 89 underpasses and overpasses.

“This ambitious project aims to improve access to areas such as Srirangapatna, Coorg, Ooty and Kerala, thereby boosting their tourism potential.” the minister tweeted.

It is expected that the expressway will revolutionize travel between Bengaluru, Mysuru and give a much-needed boost to the real estate market in the surrounding region.

The expressway is also expected to have a significant impact on the economic development of the entire region by creating several job opportunities and attracting businesses and investors.

The project involves 6-laning of the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysore section of NH-275. The 118 kilometer long project has been developed at a total cost of about Rs 8480 crore.

It will reduce the travel time between Bengaluru and Mysuru from around 3 hours to around 75 minutes. It will act as a catalyst for socio-economic development in the region.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Mysuru-Khushalnagar 4-lane highway. Spread over 92 km, this project will be developed at a cost of about Rs 4130 crore.

The project will play a vital role in boosting the connectivity of Kushalnagar with Bengaluru and help in reducing the travel time from about 5 to just 2.5 hours.

This reduction in commuting time will make it easier for people to commute between the two cities, thereby increasing the demand for residential and commercial properties in the area.
