The budget for the road to be developed at a cost of Rs 12 crore was approved earlier this week. chief executive officer of Noida Authority, Ritu MaheshwariSaid that this road will meet the needs of all types of users. “Together with Disabled Children” senior citizen Models like others will be able to use the road in a seamless manner,” she said.

Smart poles will be installed at a distance of 1 km on either side of the road. According to officials, these will act as routers through which all activities within a radius of 1 km will be controlled.
The authority had earlier this year hired a consultant, Orion Architects, to prepare a detailed project report and design of the road.
Neelima Rana Sharma, principal architect, Orion Architects, examined best practices in urban landscaping and street design in London, Singapore, Stockholm and Dubai. In place of regular traffic signals, beautiful traffic signals will be installed and the LED lights at the intersection will be synchronized with the traffic lights and will be changed to red, blue and green accordingly.
“There was a need for an intelligent system in Noida to attract investors as well as families to the city. Noida will be the first city in the country to have such an advanced system. Apart from vehicle owners, the model road will be designed to welcome pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. The system will be intelligently designed and will be IoT (Internet of Things) based,” Rana said.
Authority officials said the bidding process and project execution would take two years. The existing width of the carriageway is 12 meters on each side of the 4km section. However, from end to end (including walkways, medians, service lanes, green belts and land setbacks under the control of the Authority), the total width of the stretch will go up to 60 metres.
The agency executing the project will develop cycle tracks as well as alkaways on both sides. An official said more trees would be planted along with plants and islands and benches and sculptures would be installed to make the area worth spending time in. The entire area will provide internet connectivity to the users.
