House of the Dragon season 2 finale episode has leaked online. The HBO show, which is a spin-off of Game of Thrones, is set to air its finale episode this Sunday, August 4. With half a week left, it is reported that the episode has leaked on social media. Several social media users have been circulating scenes on Twitter/X and TikTok.
Variety has confirmed the news of the leak. The leak allegedly originated on TikTok. A user shared 14 videos featuring 30 minutes of the finale episode. The videos have gone viral, with the videos getting 50,000 to 100,000 views. While the TikTok account was immediately banned, the videos had already travelled to X and Reddit. Videos have been going viral on both platforms as well.
This is not the first time that House of the Dragon has been hit by a leak. In October 2022, when the series was preparing to air the first season’s finale, the episode was leaked two days before its release. Game of Thrones has also been subjected to leaks during its run. An episode of Game of Thrones season 7 had also leaked online.
House of the Dragon is a fantasy drama series created by George RR Martin and Ryan Condal. It serves as the prequel to Game of Thrones and the second series in Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire franchise. The new season has featured several epic moments.
This season, fans were treated to the Battle of Rook’s Rest. During the battle, fans bid farewell to Rhaenys Targaryen. The battle also took a turn when King Aegon II Targaryen got brutally injured. With a crucial dragonrider gone and Greens losing a strong frontperson, the stakes rose. The season truly peaked when new dragons and dragonriders were introduced. Fans were introduced to Seasmoke, Vermithor and Silverwing, who increased the Blacks’ dragons count to seven.
