Heavy rains lashed many parts of Maharashtra. Areas like Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Pune are witnessing severe waterlogging. The floor-to-floor views of housing complexes, floating cars and roofs of state transport buses submerged in flood waters several feet high will leave you in awe. This is the heaviest rainfall in the state in 40 years in July. Navy has been deployed for rescue and evacuation.
