Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been a key player for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) over the years. He has been the main player of CSK despite his retirement from international cricket.

Dhoni could not perform as his fans wanted. An aging MS Dhoni is nearing his full retirement, but he still has one more year to go, looks like. He hinted at playing in the 2022 IPL.

Dhoni said that he would like to hold his farewell match in Chennai, which is possible only next year.

“When it comes to farewell, you can still come and watch me play for CSK and it could be my farewell game. So, you still get a chance to bid me farewell. Hopefully, we Will come to see Chennai and play our last match. Sports over there and we can meet fans there,” Dhoni said while interacting with fans during the 75th year celebrations of ‘India Cements’ held virtually.

Chennai’s performance this year has been one of the best after being dropped from the top 4 last season. Dhoni reiterates that CSK is a “process driven team”

“We are a process-driven team, we believe in process and we know that if we execute the plan well then follow the process, if we do the little things right, we will get the desired result. We know the result is a byproduct and that keeps us calm too,” he said.
