He said that the objective behind the campaign is to conserve water as well as protect the environment. He also said that people play Holi with adulterated and synthetic colors which are harmful for vital organs like eyes and skin. These synthetic dyes also cause a variety of ailments including skin diseases.

The campaign has been launched in Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Amethi, Kaushambi, Rai Bareli, and Sultanpur district.
