Kaur believes that getting into the game with a clear mindset will be the key to the Tokyo Games.

Olympic-bound forward Navneet Kaur She believes that the mindset of the Indian women’s hockey team has changed over the years, adding that the team is no longer scared of playing against top teams. “The mindset of our team has changed a lot in the last few years, we are no longer afraid of strong opponents,” Kaur was quoted as saying in a Hockey India release.

“Earlier, when we used to play against the Netherlands or Great Britain, we used to get nervous. It is not so now. We fight till the last whistle. It’s not over till it’s over.” Kaur, who has played 79 matches for the national team, is all set to take part in her first match. Olympic campaign in Tokyo.

“Playing in Olympics is my childhood dream and I will leave no stone unturned to make it great. With experience comes responsibility.

Kaur believes that getting into the game with a clear mindset will be the key to the Tokyo Games. “This team is like a family. Rani and Savita keep on exchanging their ideas with us on how we can improve together as a team.

“The coach and the entire team are working towards that goal.”
