Hoardings in Hyderabad show signs of TRS-BJP war ahead of PM Modi, Shah, Nadda’s visit

Political turmoil is at its peak before Telangana tour Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda reached Hyderabad. The top trio of BJP will be in the city to attend the party’s National Executive Committee meeting to be held on July 2-3. And the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi started a political billboard fight about five days before the event.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), who is setting a stage to enter national level politics, is waiting for the right time to launch his proposed new party, likely to be named Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), But with the presidential election approaching, the BRS announcement stalled. However, whenever the opportunity arises, KCR has been trying to bring to the nation the work done by the TRS government in Telangana in the last eight years.

Recently, on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day on June 2, the so-called “Pink Party” put out nationwide advertisements in almost all languages in all newspapers highlighting the welfare schemes and development programs implemented by KCR in Telangana.

The chief minister has left no stone unturned to bring in political mileage in establishing that he and his party are the only alternative to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, more so than the Congress or West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress. TMC), which is also trying to expand its influence. Hence, the main junction and metro train poles in Hyderabad are now covered with posters and hoardings that announce the achievements of the TRS government in the state ahead of the BJP convention.

Actually, now the BJP has no place to put up posters and signs about PM Modi and the party and leaders are looking for other options. BJP representatives are also planning to lodge a police complaint about a hoarding, which was allegedly put up to damage the prime minister’s reputation.

The social media wing of the Telangana BJP has been running a campaign since June 24, with the satirical slogan “Salu Dora… Ika Selavu Dora” (simply zamindar… bye, zamindar) against the TRS chief.

Protesting this, a huge hoarding with the slogan “Salu Modi…Sampaku Modi” (Just Modi… Leave us Modi) was displayed at the popular Tivoli Junction in Secunderabad. It is not yet known who arranged the sign. The hoarding also criticized controversial agricultural laws, taxes and Agnipath Recruitment Scheme for Armed Forces. There is also the slogan “Goodbye Modi”.
