The 7-member K-pop band BTS has long been a powerful advocate for mental well-being and the importance of self-love. Openly sharing their personal struggles, they’ve helped to break down stigmas around these issues. Recently, the group’s eldest member, Kim Seokjin, known as Jin, encouraged fans to prioritise self-care and stay grounded amid life’s hectic pace—a message that deeply resonated with ARMYs worldwide.

BTS Jin will feature in GQ Japan’s December issue. He sat for an interview with the media outlet and spoke at length about his professional front. During the conversation, the 31-year-old was asked to convey a message to his fans as they are considered a voice of the young people. Jin said, “I hope you don’t lose your sense of calm. Even in busy times, I hope you don’t lose yourself and find a way to make yourself happy. That’s not selfish. At least, I want to do that, and I think I am doing that.”

A BTS fan shared this message from the eldest member on X (formerly Twitter). Soon, others shared their opinion on Jin’s message, praising him for his impressive words.

One fan said, “Oh Jin, I can’t express how much strength and relief his words bring me. His mindset is extraordinary and his thoughts are put in a simple and beautiful way. I think everyone can relate to what he says. I hope my heart always finds the clarity to stay calm.”

Another wrote, “Thank you, Jin. I really needed to hear this, especially with how hectic everything has been recently. I really needed someone to tell me this.” A third fan of the K-pop group said, “Thank you for being the source of my happiness, Seokjin.” Meanwhile, someone commented, “He, with his words and actions, is comfort personified.”

Speaking of Kim Seokjin’s work front, the BTS member was discharged from the military in June 2024. Since then, he has made appearances on variety shows and worked on his new music. A month back, Jin released the extended version of Super Tuna, which he originally debuted back in 2021 on his birthday. Following this, the 31-year-old singer announced his first solo album, Happy, scheduled to be released on November 15. Ahead of its release, Jin dropped the first single, I’ll Be There, from his upcoming album, which has garnered significant traction to date.
