He said that the beneficiaries of ‘Mukhyamantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna’ would be given two free gas cylinders in a year in addition to refills given at the time of gas connection. He said that the cabinet has given its approval for grant of child adoption leave up to 12 weeks to the regular women employees of the state government. The spokesperson said that the state cabinet also gave its nod to the announcement of 50 per cent rebate in fares in HRTC buses to female passengers in general intrastate buses.

Earlier on April 15, an announcement in this regard was made by the Chief Minister on the occasion of Himachal Day in Chamba. Thakur had made this announcement while presiding over the 75th state level Himachal Day celebrations at the historic town of Chaugan in Chamba district.

The cabinet also approved a scheme to provide free domestic water supply facility to people in rural areas from May 1, as announced earlier. The spokesman said that the cabinet decided to increase the honorarium of part-time employees working in Patwar circles of Revenue Department from the existing Rs. 4,100 to Rs. 5,000 per month.

The cabinet also approved Mukhyamantri Bal Suposhan Yojana, he said, adding that the scheme would be run through the joint efforts of the Central and State Governments, Department of Women and Child Development, Health and Family Welfare, Elementary Education and National. health mission. He said that the scheme envisages significant improvement in the nutritional status of mothers and children through several intensive interventions involving various stakeholders.
