“Crores of people across the country including me are in pain due to the demise of Kalyan Singh. He was a senior BJP leader and a hero of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He fought for the rights of backward communities for many years,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah said. said.

“Kalyan Singh raised the voice of Dalits in the UP Vidhan Sabha or Parliament. He was committed to Ram Janmabhoomi. On the day he laid the stone for the Ram temple, I spoke to him on the phone and he told his dreams came true,” Amit Shah said. mentioned.

Kalyan Singh, who was ailing for some time, breathed his last at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow on Saturday night.

The Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was demolished in 1992 when he was the chief minister of the state.
