Hero Electric launches first batch of electric scooters from Mahindra’s plant

Hero Electric on July 4 launched the first batch of electric scooters from Mahindra Group’s Pithampur manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. The EV maker had earlier signed a 5-year partnership as part of Mahindra’s growth and expansion plans to meet the growing demand for electric two-wheelers in the country. Hero Electric will manufacture its two e-bikes Optima and NYX at Mahindra’s Pithampur plant.

The tie-up with Mahindra is an alliance the company is proud of, Gill said, adding that both the teams are working closely for seamless integration of the manufacturing process and provide the customer with the same level of global quality that is produced. from our Ludhiana plant.

“With this tie-up, we are now on our way to the five lakh capacity which we had planned a few months back,” he said. According to the statement, beyond sharing space to manufacture vehicles, the partnership between the two will provide a platform to work jointly to develop and share the supply chain for all new electric offerings.

Both companies will strengthen this alliance and share their R&D expertise to develop new technologies and products for domestic and overseas markets.
