New Delhi: Actress Hina Khan on Saturday (July 3) reacted to the shocking announcement of divorce by superstar Aamir Khan and his film producer wife Kiran Rao after 15 years of marriage.
Hina took to her Instagram stories to share broken heart emojis along with a link to the divorce news. However, she described the way the separation is being handled as ‘nothing but beautiful’.
“But respect… to be the best, one must learn how to handle the worst. #NothingbutGraceful Best wishes to you both,” the 33-year-old wrote.
Aamir and Kiran had released a statement on their divorce which read, “In these 15 beautiful years together we have shared the experiences, joy and laughter of a lifetime, and our relationship has only grown in trust, respect and love. I would like to start a new chapter – no longer as husband and wife, but as co-parents and family to each other.”
It further elaborated, “We began a planned separation a while back, and now feel comfortable formalizing the arrangement, sharing our lives as an extended family despite living apart We are dedicated parents to our son Azad, whom we will raise together. We will also continue to work as collaborators on films, Paani Foundation and other projects that we feel passionate about. Our Many thanks to our families and friends for their continued support and understanding of this development in the relationship, and without whom we would not have been so safe to take this leap. We wish and hope to wish our well wishers all the best. That – like us – you will not see this divorce as the end, but as the beginning of a new journey. Thank you and love, Kiran and Aamir.”
