The hearing of the famous drug case of Punjab is today in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The Punjab government had submitted a sealed report of the Special Task Force (STF) investigation to the High Court. On which the double bench of HC will hear the arguments on Tuesday. Earlier, Sidhu tweeted that after two and a half years, the faces of drug smugglers will be exposed. The hearing of this case going on in the HC was earlier to be held on September 1. However, then Justice Ajay Tiwari recused himself from the hearing.

After which the Chief Justice sent this case to the new bench. Justice AG Masih and Justice Ashok Kumar Verma will hear it. Advocate Navkiran Singh had filed a petition for early hearing in the matter last year. After which now the new bench will hear the matter regularly.

Navjot Sidhu is very excited before the hearing in HC. Sidhu said that the main faces behind the drug trade in Punjab would be exposed today. For this, the report of the STF will open after being sealed for two and a half years. This will be the first victory for a mother who lost her youth and children in Punjab after the court named her names. Sidhu said that I hope that the culprits will get such punishment that will help in stopping the drug trade for generations.

Drug racket worth 6 thousand crores came to the fore in Punjab
A few years back, a drug racket of 6 thousand crores came to the fore in Punjab. Which was also investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). In which former Akali minister Bikram Singh Majithia was also questioned by the ED. Navjot Sidhu has been continuously targeting the Akali Dal for this reason. This was also cited as a major reason for the leave of Captain Amarinder Singh from the CM chair. Drug addiction was a big issue in Punjab in the last elections as well. The loss of which was suffered by the Akali-BJP alliance which was in power then.
