Veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo on Thursday created history by becoming the highest wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He broke the long-standing record of Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga, who has 170 wickets to his name.

Malinga, who is currently associated with Rajasthan Royals as a fast bowling coach, took his 170th wicket in his 153s.third Play. He played his last game in the season finale in 2019, where Mumbai Indians defeated CSK to win the fourth title.

CSK suffered another defeat in IPL 2022 on Thursday night. Evin Lewis scored the fastest half-century of the season, in just 23 balls, to help Lucknow Super Giants chase down a tight target of 211 runs to beat the defending champions by 6 wickets.

Lewis burst into action in the last five overs. He and Ayush Badoni, who hit a half-century on debut against Gujarat Titans, scored 25 runs in the final over bowled by all-rounder Shivam Dube as Lucknow reached 211/4 in 19.3 overs.
