The Haryana government has changed the timings of the schools in the state. The new timing has come into effect from today, February 23. As per an official notification released by the Directorate of School Education (DoE), Haryana, schools which work in a single shift, will now conduct classes from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. While the schools with double shift – the first shift will run from 7:00 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift classes will run from 12:45 pm to 6:15 pm.

“The Haryana government has changed the time table of schools with effect from February 23, 2023. Now single shift schools will start from 8 am to 2:30 pm and double shift schools from 7 am to 12:30 pm (first shift) and 12:45 pm. 6:15 pm (2nd shift),” the Haryana Chief Minister’s Office tweeted in Hindi.

After the change in the weather, the state government has changed the timings of the schools. With this new schedule, students will have to report to their schools an hour earlier as compared to the previous schedule.

“Since the season has changed and it will not be cumbersome for students to report to schools early,” an education department official told TOI. Apart from this, the board exams are also being held in February, so the timing had to be changed.

Usually, the timings of schools in Haryana are revised in March, but this year it was preponed due to the board exams to be held from Monday, February 27.

Due to inclement weather conditions, the timings of schools across the state were changed from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm in December.

The BSEH is all set to conduct the Haryana Class 10 Board Exams from February 27 to March 25. While the class 12 board exam will be conducted from February 27 to March 28. As per the official schedule, the exams will be conducted from 12:30 PM onwards. By 3:30 p.m. Students must carry their admit cards in the prescribed format to the exam centre. Additionally, they should reach the exam center 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam, to avoid last minute panic and delay.
