Chandigarh: The Haryana State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) announced on Sunday that covid The restrictions would continue till August 23 but the night curfew was lifted in the state.

SDMA has urged everyone to focus on a five-point program of track, test, treat, COVID behavior and vaccination to ensure that the pandemic remains under control.
In an order issued here on Sunday, the SDMA also lifted timing restrictions relating to hotels, restaurants, gyms and spas. However, the condition of following the COVID rules and guidelines will prevail.
Similarly, colleges and universities have also been asked to plan the opening of a new session and insist on the entry of those who are partially or fully vaccinated on the campus. Universities have been asked to take permission from the Higher Education Department.
The ban on gathering in temples, indoor halls and open areas remains the same. Swimming pools and spas are allowed to operate with the COVID protocol.
The rules and guidelines regarding opening of libraries, coaching centers and laboratory work for students will remain unchanged.
