Haryana: Doctor at Panchkula hospital tries to buy a car on OLX, loses Rs 7.5 lakh. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Panchkula: Three people, who approached a woman doctor working in Civil Hospital in Sector 6 to buy a car on OLX, duped Rs 7.50 lakh.
In his police complaint, Dr Rashmi, a resident of Sector 12 and the AMO at Civil Hospital, Sector 6, said he was interested in an S-Cross car listed on OLX.
Her husband Rakesh Kumar contacted the owner of the vehicle, who identified himself as Ketan Sharma. Sharma came to show the vehicle in June 2021 and said that the car belonged to his relative Mohit Mittal resident of Shastri Nagar Ambala. He also said that the vehicle has an outstanding loan of Rs 5.58 lakh.
Ketan asks Kumar to pay Rs 7.50 lakh as total payment and that he will repay the loan and provide NOC (No Objection Certificate) within 10 days of payment.
The victim paid Rs 7.50 lakh to Ketan and Mohit Mittal on 2 July 2021. After receiving the payment, he told him that the vehicle would be transferred in his name within 10 days. However, later the accused started making excuses. He also threatened the victim of dire consequences if he called again. The victim has registered a case by registering a complaint with the police.
