Haryana: BKU Charuni protests against bail to Ashish Mishra | Chandigarh News – Times of India

PEHOWA/SHAHABAD: The farmers associated with Bharatiya Kisan Union (Charuni) held protests in Pehowa and Shahabad towns of Kurukshetra district in Haryana on Friday against bail granted to Ashish Mishra in the Lakhimpur Kheri case and non-dismissal of his father Ajay Mishra Teni, Union minister of state (MoS) for home.
The protests were held following the call of BKU Charuni national president Gurnam Singh Charuni, and the farm union demanded cancellation of bail of Ashish Mishra and his arrest by February 20, along with the dismissal of MoS Ajay Misr. BKU Charuni also threatened to confront BJP leaders if their demand is not accepted by February 20.In Pehowa, farmers gathered at the Kisan Rest House under leadership of farmers’ youth president Sukhwinder Mukimpura and carried out a protest march till Main Chowk, with an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and minister of stateAjay Mishra
