MI, who are the most successful team in IPL history, would be looking to start the WPL on a high under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur. Mumbai have fielded a star-studded squad for the inaugural season by signing Hayley Mathews, Nat Sciver, Amelia Kerr, Chloe Tryon and Pooja Vastrakar.

Captained by champion Australian batsman Beth Mooney, the Gujarat Giants also include Indian stars Harleen Deol, Sneh Rana who is also the vice-captain of the team and veteran Sushma Verma.
