In-charge of Punjab affairs and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat is embroiled in a controversy over his ‘Panj Pyare’ statement. Even after apologizing and performing the service of cleaning shoes and sweeping at Gurdwara Nanakmatta Sahib in Uttarakhand, the controversy has not left him unscathed. Akali is in no mood to spare them. Youth Akali Dal will give a complaint to register a criminal case against them. Rawat’s effigy was also burnt by the Youth Akali Dal and now he is complaining about registering a criminal case against him.

The complaint is to be given to Police Commissioner Naunihal Singh at 11.30 pm on Saturday. The complaint is against his statement in which he compared Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu and his four working presidents with the Panj Pyares. Youth Akali Dal district president Manpreet Singh Manna says that Harish Rawat has played with the religious sentiments of the Sikh community by making such a statement. Therefore, a case should be registered against him for hurting religious sentiments.

Then there was bound to be a dispute over it. Issuing a statement on behalf of Shiromani Akali Dal Badal, a demand was made to take action against Harish Rawat. Now SAD Youth wants to keep this matter alive through Akali Dal. First the effigies were burnt and now a complaint is being given to register a criminal case.

Rawat has apologized, ready to serve

Seeing the controversy over the statement by Harish Rawat, an apology was immediately made. Through social media, he had said that it happened unintentionally. He apologizes to everyone for this. He will also do service at the Gurdwara Sahib in his area for repentance. He said that he did not want to hurt anyone’s heart. Whatever happened happened by mistake and he is sad for it. After this, Harish Rawat reached Nanakmatta Gurudwara in Uttarakhand on Friday and did the service of cleaning shoes and sweeping. But the controversy has not left him behind.
