Hardik Pandya in doubt for South Africa series, says report

bright India All-rounder Hardik Pandya’s departure for the upcoming tour of South Africa is doubtful. Hardik has been asked to report to the National Cricket As per a report in InsideSport, the academy (NCA) as a selector wants him to recover and then prove his fitness for selection to the NCA.
He is nursing his shoulder injury during t20 world cup The opener against Pakistan was believed to have a minor injury and was likely to be available for the home series against New Zealand, but was ruled out due to a shoulder injury.
“His recovery from the injury will mainly depend on rest. He should visit the NCA soon and we will take a decision on including him for the South Africa tour based on his fitness.”
The official also confirmed that at present Hardik is not fully fit and it is a matter of concern.
“At this point in time, he is nowhere near the fitness level required for Test cricket. He needs time and we don’t want to rush things like it happened before the World Cup. If he is ready, he will be sent for ODI and T20 series.”
The Indian all-rounder might not even play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The selectors want him to be well rehabilitated at the NCA during that period.
