Harbhajan Singh’s wife Geeta Basra tests positive for Covid 19

Bollywood actress and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s wife Geeta Basra has contracted COVID-19. On Friday, Geeta informed her fans and followers about her diagnosis on Instagram.

“After taking so many precautions and trying to dodge this damn thing for 2 years, the virus finally caught us,” she wrote on Instagram Story. Along with the update, she posted a picture of herself relaxing on her bed.

For the unversed, Geeta, best known for her role in Emraan Hashmi’s ‘The Train’ tied the knot with Harbhajan Singh in 2015. They have a daughter Hinaya and a son named Jovan.

Earlier, on Thursday, South Indian actor Dulquer Salmaan confirmed that he has tested positive for coronavirus. He shared his diagnosis on social media on Thursday and asked people who came in contact with him recently to get themselves tested.

Sharing a note on Twitter, the actor wrote, “I have just tested positive for COVID19. I’m in isolation at home and have mild flu symptoms, but I’m fine.” He further added, “Those who were in close contact with me during the shoot in the last few days, please isolate and get tested if they show symptoms.”

A few days back, Dulquer’s father Mammootty had also tested positive for Covid-19. The actor had informed his fans on Twitter that he is doing fine.

On a related note, the Health Ministry said that the sharp rise in Covid-19 cases in India continues, with the weekly positivity rate touching around 16% in the last one week.
