Former Indian cricketer and Rajya Sabha member Harbhajan Singh has demanded swift action against the accused in the horrific Manipur sexual violence. Singh has made certain statements against the accused persons, who were allegedly part of the mob that stripped and paraded three women in Manipur. He also demanded death penalty against him.

Speaking to news agency PTI, Singh said, “Action should be taken against the culprits at the earliest. The PM has already said that no one will be spared.”

Earlier, in another tweet, he had also commented on this horrific incident. He wrote, “If I say I am angry, it is an exaggeration. I am numb with anger. I am ashamed today after what happened in Manipur. If the perpetrators of this heinous crime are not punished and death penalty is not given, then we should stop calling ourselves human beings. It bothers me that this has happened. Enough is enough. The government should act.”
